Geng Yunzhi, born in December 1938 in Haicheng County, Liaoning Province. In 1964 graduated from the philosophy department of Liaoning University. Now he is the academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the researcher of the Institute of Modern History. He is also the president of China Modern Culture Society, the president of Hu Shi Research Association, the chairman of China Modern Thought Research Center and the director of Sun Yat-sen Foundation.
