英语新课程标准倡导采用活动途径,让学生通过“自主、合作、探究”的方式参与学习。在这一理念的指导下,教师们很注重学生的合作学习。小组讨论作为合作学习的一种方式,可以为学生参与课堂学习、在讨论活动中表达思想和观点,以及听取同伴的想法提供机会。因此,课堂小组讨论活动受到了广大英语教师的普遍重视。但从实际操作及教学效果来看,却发现存在诸多问题,导致小组讨论活动未能达到预期效果的原因是十分必要的。
The new English curriculum standard advocates the use of activities to allow students to participate in learning through “self-determination, cooperation, and exploration.” Under the guidance of this idea, teachers pay great attention to students’ cooperative learning. Group discussion as a way of cooperative learning can provide opportunities for students to participate in classroom learning, to express ideas and opinions in discussion activities, and to listen to peers. Therefore, the class discussion activities have received widespread attention from English teachers. However, from the actual operation and teaching effects, we found that there are many problems and it is necessary to cause the group discussions to fail to achieve the desired results.
