Abstract Objective To evaluate the different methods of measuring glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and to compare with GFR (d GFR) measured by direct method and try to establish a formula for measuring GFR based on the measured kidney volume of CT. Materials and Methods GFR (v GFR) was measured using the creatinine method (MDRD, Cockcroft-Gault formula, CKD-EPI formula and Mayo Clinic formula) and the Herts method (volume based). Different GFR evaluation methods were compared and a new model of v GFR was established by multivariate linear regression analysis. Results Based on the results of GFR measured by creatinine, the values measured by the MDRD and C-G formulas were all related to d GFR (correlation and consensus coefficients were 0.359, 0.369 and 0.354, 0.318, respectively).
