Since the second half of 1996, there have been a series of books that are very popular in China. They are “China can say no”, “Sino-American big contest” and “demonize China behind”. This is a kind of book that talks about the strategy of China’s diplomacy and governing the country from a private perspective. A considerable part of it is aimed at the U.S. criticism of the United States. Most of the book’s authors are young and middle-aged intellectuals - there are even many who reside in the United States and are still there. They started to consciously criticize the United States as they got rid of the noble mentality that began in the early 1980s. What sparked their dissatisfaction so they finally raised the barricades of criticism? These books tell us they are not satisfied with the ugly media coverage of China by the mainstream U.S. media. As reported at the Atlanta Olympics in August 1996, U.S. National Broadcasting Corporation sports commentator Costas publicly blamed China. See all kinds of false reports on China’s human rights and the environment, such as newspapers and TV all day long. Li Xiguang, a reporter for the Xinhua News Agency of the United States for further studies in the United States, came to a conclusion after working for the Washington Post newspaper for a period of time. In the United States, the media is always impressing the public on such a solidified impression that China is An extremist anti-human rights last nation, since the Soviet Union has been disintegrated, the next one is China.
