冯至(1905~1993),原名冯承植,河北涿县人。1921年考入北京大学预科,对诗歌发生兴趣,开始新诗创作。后参加和发起组织浅草社和沉钟社。冯至在20世纪20年代以创作抒情诗著称,被鲁迅称为“中国最为杰出的抒情诗人”。新中国成立后,冯至致力于翻译、教学和外国文学的研究工作,曾任北京大学西语系主任、中国社会科学院外国文学研究所所长、中国作家协会副主席、中国外国文学学会会长等职。
Feng Zhi (1905 ~ 1993), formerly known as Feng Chengzhi, Hebei Pixian. In 1921 admitted to Peking University Preparatory School, interest in poetry, began writing new poems. After participating in and sponsoring organizations Asakusa and Shen bell club. Feng Zhi was known for creating lyric poems in the 1920s and was called “the most outstanding lyric poet in China” by Lu Xun. After the founding of New China, Feng Zhi was devoted to the research of translation, teaching and foreign literature.
