Since the second quarter, the precious metals market is still relatively weak, spot gold prices have dropped more than 100 US dollars since the first quarter high. With the current strong economic recovery in Europe and the United States and the stimulus effect of the crisis in Ukraine on the gold price, the central bank in the euro zone announced the signing of the fourth CBBC (Gold Council Agreement) in the context of the deteriorating precious metals fundamentals. Stating that gold is still an important component of global currency reserves and stated that there is currently no plan to sell gold in large quantities. The signing of the agreement is beneficial to the long-term development of the precious metals market, but the stimulus for the short-term price has not seen any obvious effect so far.
