Corresponding to the well-established history of Sino-Japanese relations, the history of Japanese studies in China is also enduring, while the Japanese research publications published by modern Chinese parties have also been accumulated for centuries. A comprehensive review of the development of China’s research journals in Japan has an important academic and practical significance for the review, summary and re-departure of China’s Japanese studies and their result carriers. This article briefly reviews the origins of China’s Japanese research publications, discusses the development and evolution of contemporary Chinese and Japanese research publications, and focuses on the achievements and shortcomings of China’s Japanese research publications and their digitization since the new century.
