Many scholars apply EMG to study the masticatory muscle function in patients with full denture. The authors used EMG to study the difference between muscle activities and natural dentition in patients with full denture, and recorded the differences between old and new dentures. The effects of mastication, swallowing, occlusion and jaw position were also studied. Nine females, one males, aged 49-77 years (mean, 65 years old) were enrolled in the study.
