女性的角色在伊特鲁里亚社会是不容易界定的。在其生活各方面能力的问题上,由于缺乏直接的,公正的证据,结论大多都是来自于猜测。如同判断世界其他社会中人们的生活状态一样,在面对伊特鲁里亚人的生活问题上,我们受到的限制是缺乏任何来自伊特鲁里亚的直接文献资料。我们所接触到的都是来自希腊和罗马的历史学家们的描述。尽管如此,伊特鲁里亚时期留下的大量文物和古迹带给我们确凿的证据,因此,我们可以将这些证据与罗马和希腊人所描述的伊特鲁里亚女性进行对比。通过着重分析一个古代社会中妇女的角色,我们可从中得出重要信息,从而了解特定环境中男性和女性的具体生活状态。女性在伊特鲁里亚社会中表现出的分量对于了解伊特鲁里亚的社会分工十分重要。
The role of women in Etruscan society is not easy to define. On the question of the ability of all aspects of life, due to the lack of direct and impartial evidence, most of the conclusions come from speculation. Just as we judge the living conditions of people in other societies around the world, we face the limitation of the lack of any direct documentation of Etruscan subjects in the face of the life of the Etruscans. What we have come into contact with are the descriptions of historians from Greece and Rome. Nevertheless, the large number of artifacts and monuments left in the Etruscan period provide us with conclusive evidence so that we can compare these evidences with the Etruscan women described by the Roman and Greeks. By focusing on the analysis of the role of women in an ancient society, we can draw important information about the specific living conditions of men and women in a given setting. The weight of women in Etruscan society is important to understand the social division of labor in Etruscan.
