天下黄河富宁夏,黄河最恋是吴忠。吴忠是黄河母亲胸前一颗璀璨的明珠,全市国土总面积2.07万平方公里,辖5个县(市、区),总人口143.7万人,居住着回、汉、满、蒙等28个民族,其中回族人口占53%,是全国回族人口比例最高的地级市,被誉为“中国回族之乡”。辖区五大宗教俱全,共有宗教场所2014处,其中伊斯兰教1373处,是全国伊斯兰教工作重点地区之一,每年跨省区大型宗教活动20余次,参与信教群众50余万人次,信教群众多、教派门类多、宗教场所多、大型宗教活动多。
