为适应我国摩托车工业发展的需要,加强摩托车发动机的研究、开发、情报及科技服务工作,在各级领导的关怀与帮助下,中国汽车工业联合会和天津大学经过充分协商,决定在天津内燃机研究所原有的基础上,联合成立天津摩托车发动机研究所。成立大会于四月六日在天津内燃机研究所隆重召开。与会来宾有全国各地24个单位共45名代表。中国汽车工业联合会副理事长、摩托车办公室主任王立三,中国科学院学部委员、天津大学顾问、天津内燃机研究所名誉所长史绍
In order to meet the needs of the development of China’s motorcycle industry, the research, development, intelligence, and scientific and technological services of motorcycle engines have been strengthened. With the care and help of leaders at all levels, the China Federation of Automobile Manufacturers and Tianjin University have been fully consulted and decided to be in Tianjin. On the basis of the original internal combustion engine research institute, the Tianjin Motorcycle Engine Research Institute was jointly established. The establishment meeting was held on April 6 at the Tianjin Institute of Internal Combustion Engines. The attending guests had a total of 45 representatives from 24 units across the country.
