美国陆军基地,也可以称为陆军营区,是美国陆军官兵服役所在地。同时,也是官兵及其配偶、子女生活和社交活动的主要场所。这里除了部队特有的训练、工作和生活区域以外,其他设施大多与地方社区相同。美国陆军基地分为本土和海外两种,一些基地已有数十年乃至上百年历史,并且一直在逐渐发展,拥有良好的体育、文化、社交和娱乐设施。一些在第二次世界大战中及战后才建立的营区则发展得没有那么快,配套设施不是非常完善。不论其本土还是海外的陆军新老基地,通常都配有完善的保障设施,宛如生活小区一般。
The U.S. Army Base, also known as the Army Barracks, is where the Army officers and men service the United States. At the same time, it is also the main place where officers and soldiers and their spouses and children live and socialize.
