第二篇概述了利用地震体波研究地球深部构造的观测技术、解释方法、主要成果以及与地震活动的关系等方面的情况。着重指出:目前,探测深度主要集中于岩石圈,部份地区进入下地幔;研究范围已由速度结构的静态研究,进入动力过程的探索;研究内容除速度纵向分布的逆转层外,还很关心横向变化、各向异性和海洋的地壳分层;在分析解释方法上已普遍采用走时资料的反演、二维和三维射线追踪以及理论地震图;中国准备在西北、华北、西南和青藏高原等地原有工作的基础上,结合地震预报进行精细结构研究,并对一些全国重大地质构造进行深部解释。
The second chapter outlines the use of seismic body waves to study the Earth’s deep structure of the observation techniques, methods of interpretation, the main achievements and the relationship with the seismic activity and so on. It is emphatically pointed out that at present, the exploration depth mainly concentrates on the lithosphere and some areas enter into the lower mantle. The scope of the study has been quested from the static study of velocity structure and into the dynamic process. The research content is still very concerned with the reversal layer of velocity longitudinal distribution Lateral variation, anisotropy and oceanic crustal stratification. Time series inversion, 2D and 3D ray tracing, and theoretical seismograms have been widely used in interpretation methods. China is ready for use in Northwest China, North China, Southwest China and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau On the basis of the original work on the ground, the study of fine structure with earthquake prediction is carried out, and some deep interpretation of the major geological formations in China is carried out.
