2015年11月7日下午,一个载入史册的镜头通过电视画面呈现在世人眼前:中共中央总书记习近平与台湾方面领导人马英九在新加坡握手会面。随后,他们就推动两岸关系和平发展进行了秘密谈话。这是六十六年来两岸最高领导人的首次握手,这一具有里程碑意义的会面,使两岸关系的和平发展再上一个新台阶。
On the afternoon of November 7, 2015, a historical lens was shown on the TV screen: Xi Jinping, CPC Central Committee General Secretary, and Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou shook hands in Singapore. Afterwards, they held secret talks on pushing for the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations. This is the first shake-up of the top leaders of the two sides of the strait in sixty-six years. This landmark meeting has brought the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations to a new level.
