1953年2月8日中国地质学会、中國古生物學會聊合年会在北京召開了第28国年會,共出席會員208人。中央地质部何長工副部長,中华全國自然科舉專門学会聯合會吴有训副主席也蒞会指導。 8日上午舉行全體大會,中國地质学會孫雲(?)理事长在開幕詞中指出:這大會議是在国家建设五年计划开始執行,中央地质部成立以後,在地质工作者空前团结与展開学习蘇联先進經驗的高潮中召开的,因此,这次会议是具有特殊意义的。
