From August 19 to August 21, 2013, the 15th Ming Dynasty International Symposium and the Fifth Qi Jiguang International Symposium jointly sponsored by the Ming Dynasty Association of China and Penglai City of Shandong Province were held in Penglai, Shandong Province, the hometown of national hero Qi Jiguang. Nearly 140 people from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and France attended the conference. A total of 130 papers were collected at the conference, covering the political, economic, military, social, ideological, cultural and ethnic foreign relations in the Ming Dynasty.
