仁寿县属盆中浸蚀丘陵区,垦殖指数较高,土层稍厚的地方,多已垦作耕地。荒山荒坡土质瘠薄,一般只有20厘米到30厘米,坡脚土层稍厚,坡顶和坡上土层极薄,有的全无土层,基岩裸露。石骨子含量很高,结构松散,片蚀、沟蚀强烈。PH值6.5～8,缺少有机质,历史上这些地区的适生树种为柏木(Cnpressus funebris Endl)。但由于植被破坏,表土流失,营造柏木纯林,成活、成长都很困难。1965年以来,我们在这地区以马桑(CoriaraSinica Maxim)作伴生树种、与柏木混交造林。
