US MTA Metro-North Rail recently ordered a fleet of 16 electrically driven diesel locomotives for suburban rail transport in non-electrified areas to Brookville Equipment Corp. of the country. The locomotive is fitted with a De-troit / MTU12V4000R33 diesel engine that meets the EPA Tier 2 emission standard and has a power of 2250 hp (1678kW). The diesel engine itself has
