儒家的身心修养理论和人格学说是一体两面的关系,用孟子的话就是,内在的修养会在外在的身体形态方面呈现出来,二者一体构成一个身心整体状态即德性和体貌气质整体呈现的人格现象。从宋明儒和心学视角看,所有修养的最高界定最终都要落实到“立命”上,安身立命是修养的最终实现,安身必须与立命统一起来,而立命就必然落实到个体和最高实在“天”或“天道”的同一性上。阳明认为君子之学是心学,心即性即天,所以良知既“道”即“教”:道德规范者和道德教诲者。朱子认为,最后的立命就是终身修持侍奉天道,不动摇、不转念、不以人为害天道,这就是朱子所理解的孟子的立命了。但是阳明认为这个顺序颠倒了,颠倒的原因就是朱子不“知天”。核心是他所理解的“知”不是孟子的“知”。阳明所理解的“知天”是同天、执天,而所谓同、执就是个人的心体与天通达、也与天同大。这个时候的个体之“命”即天命才真正显现出来。后来,冯友兰先生也曾论及此点。 Confucian spiritual and spiritual training theory and personality theory is one of the two sides of the relationship, with Mencius’s words is that the inner self-cultivation will appear in the external body shape, the two form a body and mind as a whole the overall state of the moral and physical appearance of the overall personality phenomenon.
