宁沟村位于瓦房店市胜利乡西北部的丘陵地带,土质瘠薄,十年九旱,年年种地不打粮,岁岁生活靠救济。群众温饱问题长期解决不了,使得人心不安定,有点本事的年轻人纷纷外出讨门路,剩下的多数是老弱病残。这些人中有的家粮无仓,草无垛,房漏不修,墙倒不砌,多年的贫困使部分群众丧失了脱贫致富的信心和勇气,成为远近闻名的贫困村。
