Nearly a century after the Mexican defeat to the United States, Mexico also sent military forces to attack the axis forces that fought side by side with the United States during World War II. This is the first time that Mexico has sent troops to go abroad for operations, which is the first time that both sides are evenly matched. This unique group is the Fuerzo Aerea Mexicana (FAM).
