人类的生命活动,需要20多种维生素。虽说,人体对维生素的需求量很小,但它在调节物质代谢、促进生长发育和维持生理功能等方面,都发挥着不可缺少的作用。在维生素缺乏症中,维生素C缺乏居首位。因为维生素C的性质非常不稳定,一是很容易氧化而被破坏;二是遇热,光易流失。例如:大白菜含维生素C比较高,如果在常温下放置48小时,维生素C就几乎全部流失了。维生素C的作用预防感冒。白细胞含有丰富的维生素C,当机体受感染时,白细胞内的维生素C急剧减少。维生素C可增强免疫细胞的杀菌能力,适量补充维生素C,可以预防感冒。一般的感冒患者,医生在给药时,首先补充维生素C,其次才是退烧。
