以豫北、豫东黄河冲积平原的潮土区12个潮土剖面为对象,在对每个剖面的形态特征观察描述和发生层样品分析测定的基础上,依据中国土壤系统分类相关标准进行了土系划分。结果表明,研究区12个潮土剖面具有的诊断层为淡薄表层、雏形层;诊断特性有:潮湿土壤水分状况、干润土壤水分状况、温性土壤温度状况、石灰反应、盐基饱和度和氧化还原特征;归属于雏形土土纲,可继分为潮湿雏形土、干润雏形土2个亚纲以及相应的3个土类、4个亚类、6个土族和10个典型土系。
