尔葳的少年时代只能看露天电影。那时的中国电影单调而乏味,这种艺术形式留给国人的印象,似乎就那么几部“老三战”。1985年,李尔葳大学毕业后分配到中国电影总公司。这个宿命式的安排,让一个文采出众的小女子走出湖南,顺理成章地成为中国电影发迹史的见证人。偶然与必然的辩证关系,决定了一个才华横溢的权威影评人的成长经历。从20世纪80年代中期至90年代中期,是中国电影人的“燃情岁月”。从彷徨、焦虑、自省、摸索、崛起、振奋,到最终步入国际舞台的辉煌,是大喜大悲的10年。而身为影评人和策划人的李尔葳,也伴随着这些起起落落,跌跌撞撞地走到了今天……
