1955年,在党中央发出“向科学进军”号召的时代背景下,在北京矿业学院兴起有计划、有组织的科研活动的热潮中,本刊的前身——《北京矿业学院学报》创刊了。从那时起,她已走过了50年的历程。值此刊庆之际,编辑部向多年来关心、支持她的各级领导,广大作者、读者、审阅者致以崇高的敬意和衷心的感谢!50年风风雨雨,50年春华秋实。《中国矿业大学学报》随着学校的发展而发展,随着煤炭科技的进步而进步;特别是改革开放以来的20多年,学报取得了长足的发展和进步。《中国矿业大学学报》现为全国中文核心期刊,被美国《工程索引》(Ei compendex)、美国《化学文摘》(CA)、美国《剑桥科学文摘》(CSA)、俄罗斯《文摘杂志》(AJ)、英国《煤文精选》(CH)、《中国科学引文数据库》(CSCD)等20多种国内外重要数据库检索收录。被国际著名的美国《工程索引》(Ei compendex)检索收录的论文逐年增加,2005年达90%以上;《中国矿业大学学报》曾获全国优秀科技期刊三等奖、全国优秀高校自然科学学报一等奖、中国期刊方阵“双效期刊”奖、全国高校科技期刊优秀编辑出版质量奖、华东地区优秀期刊奖、江苏省“双十佳”期刊奖、江苏省期刊方阵“双效期刊”奖、江苏期刊方阵优秀期刊奖、江苏省一级期刊。《中国矿业大学学报》所走过的50年,是艰苦创业、开拓进取的50年,是团结协作、勇于拼搏的50年。回顾50年的历程,我们深深体会到,质量与特色是刊物生命力之所在。50年来,几代作者把自己最出色的研究成果交给本刊发表,几代编审者在稿件评审、编辑加工诸环节呕心沥血、一丝不苟,几代读者殷殷关注,始终给予鼓励和鞭策。正是靠着他们的支撑,本刊得以在国内外科技期刊之林中占有一席之地,特别在能源矿业科技领域的学术刊物中具有较强的影响力,在全国高校自然科学学报中因独具特色而倍受关注。抚今忆昔,我们在向这些前辈们致敬的同时,也因此更感受到自身责任的重大。当前随着改革的深入和科技的发展,学术期刊界正面临着激烈的竞争,尤其对高校学报而言更是面临着严峻的挑战。在新的形势下,探索先进的办刊理念、管理体制和办刊机制,争创国内一流、国际知名的学术期刊,这正是我们这一代学报人义不容辞的责任。
