人们穿着日常的工作服,被海风吹得黝黑的脸孔就像海员一样;他们在那严峻而变化无常的海洋条件下生活着、工作着,奋不顾身地战胜里海的狂风骇浪;他们怀着人类最宝贵的热心与真诚,时而为工作中的挫折而担心,时而又为工作中的胜利而高兴——这就是我们在影片「里海石油工人的故事」一中看到的主人公们。大概用一个字眼就可以说明这部影片的主题,那便是劳动。劳动,在其各方面的表现中——在勘探和斗争、革新和创造的热忱中,都显示出这是建筑共产主义社会光辉大厦的苏联人民的目标明确的创造性劳动。

Labor, in all its manifestations - in the zeal of exploration and struggle, innovation and creation, shows that it is a clear-cut creative work of the Soviet people, a glorious building that constructs a communist society.
