In designing surface acoustic wave devices, the input impedance (or admittance), acoustic scattering and electroacoustic conversion characteristics of interdigital transducers are important parameters. To estimate the coupling strength (eg, to calculate the value of K ~ 2), determine the acoustic synchronization frequency, tune the transducer to acoustic synchronization, or match the transducer to the source and receiver load, both for transmit and receive transmitters The transducer has the best amplitude and phase characteristics and must know the transducer’s input impedance or admittance.
