每个人都有自己的名字,以便同别人区别开来,但长辈为后辈取什么名字往往受取名者文化素养及心理特点的影响。一般讲,古人取名时很讲究用字,象魏天启等。为使一个家族同其他家族区别开来,过去取名还很讲究辈分,如第五辈的字为茂,于是凡是第五辈的人名字中都须有茂字,象茂森、茂伟、茂林、茂文等。通过名字我们还可以看到一个人出生的时代特点。文革中出生的孩子叫红卫、卫红、红新、爱军等的特别多,映照出当时处处“红”的特点。我们国家现在实行一对夫妇生一胎的政策,独生子女非常普遍,他们的“娇”气从名字上也得到了反映,很多的独生子女都用叠字取名字,如萌萌、婷婷、璐璐、红红等等。长辈为后辈取名字还反映出他们对后辈的态度和期望,如振坤,表明家长很希望自己的这个
