As a great expressionist writer in the twentieth century, Kafka is often confronted with conflicts between father and son due to his sensitive nature and his father’s “tyrant” style of “domination.” His work emphasizes the son’s rebellion against his father’s “tyrant” rule and the father’s punishment of his rebellion and has multiple symbolic meanings.
