基层是我军各项工作落实的终端，战士是我军各项工作的基点和起点。作为我军政治工作重要载体和阵地的解放军报，就应该把基层作为自己的重要服务方向，把战士作为自己关注的主要目标。让我们欣喜的是，解放军报已告别一度出现的“离兵”现象，采取了“零距离”接近战士的策略，开设了一些充分关注基层、热情为战士服务的好专栏，其中包括《战士视点》这个深受好评的专栏。它有以下几个特点：
