1988年底,我国著名经济学家、国家统计局第一任局长薛暮桥同志为本刊亲笔写了一篇题为《认真提高统计资料的使用价值》的文章,就编印历史统计资料书应提高其使用价值问题提出了非常中肯的意见,基本内容有两点:(1)历史统计资料必须如实反映历史发展过程;(2)编印历史统计资料书从内容到形式都应考虑方便读者.薛老的意见,对今后编印历史统计资料书具有普遍的指导意义.薛老还对我们的统计刊物提出了很好的建议,根据他的建议,今后我们将增加有关统计分析研究报告和统计资料加工整理方面的文章.希望广大读者踊跃投稿.薛老虽已八十多少高龄,还在关心着我国统计事业的发展.这种精神,使我们很受教育和鼓舞.现将薛老的文章全文发表如下.
