党的十六大报告提出,发展社会主义民主政治,建设社会主义政治文明,是全面建设小康社会的重要目标。在物质文明与精神文明取得了巨大成就的今天,政治文明的提出集中体现了人们对和谐的社会关系、理想的社会制度的追求。要建设先进的政治文明任重道远,需要我们开拓创新、积极稳妥地利用一切可供利用的力量来建设更高程度的民主。而互联网在平等性、直接性、公开性等方面,都能达到民主所要求的最高程度,这必将使其成为推动政治文明建设、推进政治民主化的重要力量。
The report of the 16th National Party Congress put forward that developing socialist democracy and building a socialist political civilization are the important goals of building an overall well-to-do society. Today, with the great achievements of material civilization and spiritual civilization, the proposal of political civilization embodies people’s pursuit of harmonious social relations and ideal social system. To build an advanced political civilization requires a long way to go, and it requires us to make innovations and make active and steady use of all available resources to build a higher level of democracy. However, the Internet can reach the highest level required by democracy in terms of equality, directness and openness, which will surely make it an important force for promoting political civilization and promoting political democratization.
