自近代以来,人们在强调“文字是记录语言的符号系统”的时候,却未见有人认真探讨过文字对语言的反作用。好象文字只能被动地记录言语。但现实生活中存在的许多字形词,却使我们清楚地看到汉字对汉语的巨大反作用力。 所谓字形词,是指根据汉字的字形所创造出来的词,也就是有人偶尔提到的用文字学造词法创造的词。这类词在现实生活的各个领域都有人在运用,而且还在不断地用这种方法创造着新的词。比如,遍及城乡的“丁字街”、“十字路口”、“十字街头”;
