The apatite-bearing ores of the Hibbing-type deposits are processed to produce apatite concentrates. The comprehensive beneficiation process for this ore provides for the selection of black minerals (pyroxene, titanomagnetite and chalcedrites) in the foam product by flotation to separate nepheline concentrate from apatite flotation tailings.
