本试验采用茎芽组织快速分化成苗结合土壤刺激生根来提高育种材料的繁殖系数。以往组织培养中,从产生愈伤组织、分化成苗到生根都是在人工培养基上完成,其中组培幼苗生根比较困难。通过对百脉根(Lotus corniculatus)、红豆草(Onobrychis viciaefolia)、鹰嘴紫云英(Astragalus sinicus)无根幼苗移栽于土壤中刺激生根的试验研究表明,不仅其成活率高达70%以上,而且无根苗移栽后七周左右可全部生根,其田间繁殖系数为55.35,总繁殖系数达437,为珍贵材料的快速繁殖开辟了一条新途径。
