苹、萍及蘋在我国最早解释词义的专著《尔雅》中即已收载,且字义分明。《本草纲目》、《植物名实图考长编》也广征博引,作了详细论述。但由于三字发音相近兼之通假和简化的原因,以致在一些书刊中苹、萍不分,蘋(Pín)、苹互用,十分混乱。兹辨析如下: 苹 Píng,《诗经·小雅·鹿鸣》有“呦呦鹿鸣,食野之苹”句。《尔雅》释草第十三注:“苹,蔌萧。”三国时陆玑诗疏称:“苹,叶青白色,茎似箸而轻脆,始生香可生食,又可蒸食。”据《辞源(修订1版),蔌萧即藾蒿,为
