The film Australia moulds a successful“Other”image Daisy,who shows how aborigines in Australia are reduced to the“Other”under white rulers’oppression and domination,revealing their confusions and helplessness when identifying themselves in double identities between the“Other”and self.Owing to the significance of the Other images in post-colonialism,this article analyses the Other images of Daisy,her self-awareness,her revolt and her dilemmas,aiming at incarnating the film’s theme,to construct an equal harmonious tolerant Australia.
