2003年10月,姗姗来迟的AMDAthlon 64系列CPU终于出现在大家的面前。与此同时,芯片组厂商也在最短时间内发布了支持K8 CPU的主板芯片组,加上各大主板厂商的积极参与,似乎64位计算时代就这样轰轰烈烈展开了…… 回首CPU的发展,386就已经进入了32位计算时代,但一直到了95年,微软Windows 95的发布才正式宣布了32位PC操作系统的到来。而AMD Athlon 64的出现,也同样遇到了64位操作系统和应用软件匮乏的问题。 但由于Athlon64可向下兼容目前的32位操作系统和应用软件,因此仍然有不少人看好它的前景。也因此,支持Athlon 64CPU的主板也就成了我们必须关注的对象,由于支持该CPU的芯片组不少,因此我们尽量做到全面覆盖。本次评测同时具有VIA K8T800、NVIDIA nForce3 Pro150、ALiM1687和SiS 755四款芯片组的产品,主要是为了让大家更多地了解每款芯片组的优缺点,同时采用相同芯片组的产品又进行了横向评测。由于本刊面向个人用户,因此评测产品仅限于支持Socket754的主板。
