Every day, driving from the north of the city to work in the city center, from the old-fashioned red-brick urban area to the high-grade business district made of reinforced glass, such as the world. Looking across the high-end commercial buildings like Hang Lung and CITIC Pacific, it still feels inaccessible. Recalling Zhang Ailing’s repeated mention of the Shih Shou Department Store: bright windows, colorful neon, more than half a century ago noble foreign goods, like an ice beauty is not an exaggeration. Shanghai’s high-end commercial buildings have always been like a glamorous woman, dressed in gorgeous, dazzling, ordinary people are afraid to play with them. However, they stood there, carrying a unique taste of the material of the brand stores, people who walked in and walked through, to the city cast a different gorgeous expression.
