2003年11月9日—10日,湖北省委、省政府主办的“推进武汉城市圈建设”研讨会在汉召开。全国人大常委会副委员长、民盟中央主席丁石孙专程莅会并发表热情洋溢的讲话。中央政策研究室副主任郑新立、国务院研究室党组成员宁吉喆、国家建设部副部长仇保兴、国务院发展研究中心副主任孙晓郁及来自国内的30多位知名专家、学者应邀出席会议。中共中央政治局委员、省委书记俞正声代表省委、省政府致欢迎辞并讲话。省委副书记、省长罗清泉主持会议。省及武汉市领导陈训秋、孙志刚、张昌尔、王守海、翁行德、李宪生等出席会议。武汉城市圈所辖各市负责人及省直有关部门负责人参加会议。副省长刘友凡就加快武汉城市圈发展的基本思路作主题发言。现将部分领导、专家发言摘登于此。
From November 9 to November 10, 2003, a seminar on “Promoting the Construction of Wuhan City Circle” hosted by Hubei provincial party committee and government was held in China. Ding Shisun, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and chairman of the NLD, made a special trip to the meeting and delivered a warm speech. Zheng Xinli, deputy director of the Central Policy Research Office; Ning Jizhe, member of the Party Group under the State Council Research Office; Qiu Baoxing, vice minister of the State Ministry of Construction; Sun Xiaoyu, deputy director of the State Council Development Research Center; and more than 30 well-known experts and scholars from China were invited to attend the conference. Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the provincial party committee, addressed a welcoming address and made a speech on behalf of the provincial party committee and government. Luo Qingquan, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor, presided over the meeting. Provincial and Wuhan leaders Chen Xiuqiu, Sun Zhigang, Zhang Changer, Wang Shouhai, Weng Xingde, Li Xiansheng attended the meeting. Wuhan city circle under the jurisdiction of municipalities and provincial departments in charge of people directly attended the meeting.
