CD105 is a glycoprotein expressed by endothelial cells and is one of the components of the transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) receptor superfamily. CD105 is one of the markers of vascular endothelial cell proliferation, and it is directly involved in angiogenesis and plays an important role in tumor angiogenesis. Malignant tumors are mostly vascular solid tumors, its occurrence, development and angiogenesis are closely related. Further study of the expression of CD105 in malignant tumors may become a new way of diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of malignant tumors. This review summarizes the structure and function of CD105 and its role in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors and their prognosis.
