根据有关文献报道,美国内陆钢公司于1985年12月底在东芝加哥公司印第安纳港厂的第二氧气炼钢厂投产一台单流板坯连铸机。这台设备是由曼内斯曼一德马格、日立造船/三菱钢公司提供的,其板坯年生产能力约130万吨,每炉熔炼的重量为200吨,中间罐的容量为30吨。这台设备有一台自动模内金属液面调节装置,而且在浇注时结晶器的宽度是可调的。板坯宽度为890～1930毫米,板坯厚度为235毫米。这台设备有一台水雾冷却的二次冷却系统,可以浇注高碳钢、低碳钢及低合金钢。
According to reports in the literature, the Inland Steel Company of the United States put a single-stream slab caster at the end of December 1985 at the second Oxygen Steel Works at the Chicago-based company’s Indiana Port Plant. Supplied by Mannesmann-Demag and Hitachi Shipbuilding / Mitsubishi Steel, the unit has an annual capacity of about 1.3 million tons of slab, 200 tons of melts per furnace and 30 tons of cans . The unit has an automatic mold-in-metal regulator and the width of the mold is adjustable during casting. Slab width of 890 ~ 1930 mm, slab thickness of 235 mm. The unit has a water-cooled secondary cooling system for casting high-carbon, low-carbon and low-alloy steel.
