INTRODUCTION Bayan Obo Mine is a multi-metal symbiotic giant deposit dominated by iron, rare earth, niobium and fluorite. Niobium reserves account for 99% of the country’s total reserves. However, many types of niobium minerals, embedded fine grain size, low grade, beneficiation recovery of niobium difficult, as Baotou ore dressing has not yet broken one of the problems. In the 1960s, only individual units engaged in the research on the recovery of niobium from the main ore and the eastern ore.
