Eni said the slurry bed hydrogenation (EST) has good benefits and Eni slurry bed technology at the Sannazzaro Burgondi refinery in Italy will increase middle distillate (diesel) production by 5% and reduce fuel oil production 3.5%. This new process allows the bottoms to undergo the most intense hydroconversion.
