地震烈度评定是探讨许多地震问题的基础和起点。迄今为止地震烈度尚未有公认明确的物理定量标准,仍然处于一种粗糙的宏观描述阶段。近十来年,在我国人口稠密、经济较发达的地区发生了多次破坏性地震。由于城乡建设了大量各种不同结构类型的建筑物,在现行烈度表中找不到适当的对应关系,使震后烈度评定工作增加了不少困难,致使争议纷纷。
Seismic intensity assessment is the basis and starting point to explore many earthquake problems. Up to now, the intensity of earthquake has not been recognized as a clear physical quantitative standard and is still in a rough macro description stage. In the past ten years or so, there have been many devastating earthquakes in the densely populated and economically developed areas of our country. Due to the large number of buildings with different types of structures in both urban and rural areas, proper correspondences can not be found in the existing intensity tables, which adds a lot of difficulties to the seismic intensity assessment work, resulting in disputes.
