Objective To explore the relationship between noise and hypertension in automobile production and provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of hypertension. Methods A case-control study was conducted in 488 hypertension patients and 788 control patients. The relationship between noise and hypertension was analyzed by Chi-square trend test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis respectively. Results The noise exposure rate in case group was higher than that in control group (χ2 = 6.826, P = 0.011). Noise exposure increased the risk of hypertension in workers. Noise exposure was an independent risk factor for hypertension. The odds ratio (OR) increased with the increase of cumulative CNE level (CNE), and there was a dose-response relationship between CNE and hypertension (P <0.01). Correlation analysis of age, gender, education level, body mass index, family history of hypertension , High blood lipids and other individual factors, there is still a significant dose-response relationship between CNE and hypertension. Conclusion Noise in car production increases the risk of developing hypertension.
