电子工业部第二十三研究所用国产单模光纤于1986年2月试制成了我国第一根六芯骨架型单模光缆以后,又于1987年9月试制成了全国产全填充式铝塑粘结护层十二芯绞合型单模光缆。光缆中有十二根单模光纤和两根电信号线,光纤二次被覆用聚丙稀松包,内填充能抗渗水的密封胶,成缆时缆芯中再填充密封胶,采用防潮性好的铝塑粘结护层。光缆长度为2.02km,是目前国内生产的最长单模光缆,而且系应用上海石英玻璃厂生产的单模光纤,为全国产的单模光缆,国内其他单位则是采用进口的单模光纤成缆。光缆在1.3μm的平均衰减为0.46dB/km,达到了IEC和国标(报批稿)推荐的单模光缆衰减分级的最高档:不大于0.5dB/km。
