Humanistic quality is not only a manifestation of whether a student is well educated, but also a symbol of the mature educational system in schools. In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy, higher requirements have been put forward on students’ professional skills and humanistic attainments in higher vocational colleges. At present, the teaching of Chinese and English in higher vocational colleges mainly focuses on professional terminology and professional skills training, emphasizing on the training of professional skills of educated people, while ignoring their cultivation of humanistic qualities as social persons. On the one hand, it is necessary to improve the teachers ’own humanities accomplishment; on the other hand, we should change the teaching evaluation method and change the teachers’ teaching idea in the course.
