孙瑜是我国年纪最大的一位著名电影导演,今年已满八十周岁。他从二十年代起搞电影导演和编剧工作,到现在已经五十多年了。孙瑜十五岁进天津南开中学念书。在校时他曾看过青年时代的周恩来同志主演的几台反封建的话剧,受到启发和鼓舞,开始对文艺发生莫大的兴趣。毕业后,孙瑜考入北京清华大学。二十六岁的时候,他又远涉重洋跨进美国哥伦比亚大学,攻读高等电影编剧导演专业,是我国第一位在美国电影专科学校毕业的电影艺术家。回国后,孙瑜由著名戏剧家洪琛介绍进入上海明星影片公司工作。一九二八年,他编导了电影《潇
