“科学技术是第一生产力”的理论,是邓小平同志根据马克思关于科学也是生产力的论断,针对20世纪以来,在世界新科技革命推动下出现的世界经济发展的新趋势,出现的现代社会生产力组成的新变化,出现的自然科学奔向社会科学的新潮流,而作出的具有重大理论和实践意义的科学理论。这一科学理论的提出,是在新的历史条件下对马克思主义历史唯物论的重大发展,是事关我国社会主义现代化建设命运的重大关键问题。
